Microsoft Makes Our Internet Life Easier For Once

Searching the web is about to get a whole lot easier. Microsoft has set its sights on searching the internet as the next big thing. “There's really very little [Microsoft] can add to what's already out there,” said Google CEO Eric Schmidt skeptically. When asked for a response to this, Kirk Koenigsbauer, strategy manager at Microsoft's MSN Internet portal said, “What he doesn't know is we've expanded our horizons. Now we've combined the latest technology with the oldest of trends for the best of both worlds.” Whatever. Mind-reading technology will be present in the new Windows Longhorn (MiReLo), scheduled for 2005 along with advanced pattern recognition software. The new software, combined with slave laborers in North Korea and China looking through all of the results from a search and comparing it to the output of the MiReLo software will yield the best possible results for any internet search. 10332
