January 2nd - Forum Frozen

As there have been no new developments with the Bearded Child for some time, the forum has been frozen to reduce hassle of upkeep.  Check back for more news, though!  No telling when the bearded child might eat some brains or something and come back to life!

November 16th - Bearded Child ALIVE AGAIN!!

The Bearded Child is officially seeking short films for upcoming screenings and events. Remember, we are looking for very off-kilter, bizarre works of all kinds. We're particularly interested in films that might not normally be shown at traditional festivals, and value innovation and ingenuity over the glitzy, heavy-wallet monovision of mainstream cinema. Surprise us with something new!

No entry fee required, all genres accepted. Send a dvd with basic info (contact, synopsis, bios, photos-- the more info you provide, the easier it is to evaluate.) You will be notified if we can find an appropriate venue to screen you work.

The Bearded Child is now nine years strong, bringing the fringes back to the people! We've screened films all across the US and Canada, and are always lookings for new venues and minds to pollute.

May 26th - Festival deadline moved back

The Bearded Child has officially moved the entry deadline back to June 27, 2008 (final). We are also moving the Minneapolis leg of the festival back to Aug. 13-16. Stay tune for further updates!
